Coffee, Candid Confessions, and the Carousel of Life and Friendships | Episode 6 | Parents Uncut Pod
Ever wondered how a discussion about the freedom of speech could meander through the quirks of family life and end up at a coffee debate? we embark on a no-holds-barred exploration of personal expression, parenting, and the colorful patchwork of opinions that make up our world. We kick things off by respecting those brave souls who've decided their family is just the right size, tip our hats to those embarking on the parenthood journey later in life, and throw in a few laughs about our own aging process—adult film stars and all.
Hold onto your seatbelts as we take a detour down memory lane, reliving our youthful escapades and the timeless tradition of old cars and first loves. Whether it's a paint night fiasco or the viral antics of TikTok challenges, we're serving up a blend of nostalgia and modern musings that'll have you reflecting on how our past shapes our future. And don't worry, we're bringing you along on the ups and downs of the friendship rollercoaster, sharing stories that'll have you examining your own bonds and maybe even calling up an old friend or two.
Are you ready to confess your coffee loyalties? Whether it's McDonald's or Bustelo that fuels your soul, join us as we spill the beans on our personal brew biases. And things get even juicier when we tackle the tumultuous topics of friendship drama, the 'bitch face' phenomenon, and cursing etiquette school-style. Grab your mug and settle in for tales of parenting costs, from basketball membership fees to the politics of pocket money, with a final nod to those personal milestones that define our resilience and belief in brighter days ahead. Cheers to an episode that's as invigorating as your morning cup of joe!

For those of you that fail to read captions and descriptions, this is a visual and auditory disclaimer. The thoughts of our guests and their expressions are not ours. Just because we don't disagree or refute it does not mean we agree. I know you may have your feathers ruffled, but guess what? Not our problem. That's gonna be the fourth kid it has like pizzazzic.
Speaker 2:No, first of all, ain't no fourth kid. We were just talking about that and the whole way it was like hell. No, I am number one. What do you mean? You got four, I know. Oh, she had to have the last one.
Speaker 1:You mean there's no fifth and there's no fourth.
Speaker 3:Yeah, no, there's no other, there's never gonna be another.
Speaker 1:We're done. Close the shop.
Speaker 2:You know? Props to everybody who has kids after 40? What?
Speaker 3:Yeah, no, I just feel like.
Speaker 1:No kids of 40 is great. Paige was born at 40. Not my 40. Yeah.
Speaker 2:No, no, but people who have them.
Speaker 3:I thought she was younger than you.
Speaker 1:No hold on. Are you seeing pictures and thinking that I look older?
Speaker 3:No, no, no, I just oh OK. I feel like I heard you say something about her age.
Speaker 1:No, she's older.
Speaker 2:Johnny likes La Vieja. So remember, last week we were talking about yeah, how you brush your right.
Speaker 1:Oh, I never send you, nina Hartley. My favorite old lady porn star.
Speaker 2:You need a Hartley no.
Speaker 1:Nina Hartley man, the legendary.
Speaker 2:You just sent me a video.
Speaker 1:I don't tell you. I say she's been in the game for 50 years. It's the 70s.
Speaker 2:We were talking about that at work, I asked my super. I was like, oh, you guys are on a page round because we were talking about old lady sex. Right, we were talking about porn. And then he's just like I don't want to know, damn skin blanket.
Speaker 1:Damn Yo.
Speaker 3:Your skin blanket is why I was dying Wow.
Speaker 1:For those of you higher in age, it's OK. Skin blankets are kind of cool to some people. I enjoy sag.
Speaker 3:Wow, and I was just talking about you need a lift. Well, yeah.
Speaker 2:But you know what we have to accept our bodies, yo, that's what surgery is for.
Speaker 1:Thank God. I was going to say I'm agreeing, but I really don't want to.
Speaker 2:I can say that now I don't like myself. I thought I'd have had the surgery. Straight to the point, but we were talking about it because last week I had a little anxiety. I know she was a little bit anxious.
Speaker 1:I felt bad. I'm like damn, I'm excited about this shit. I'm like this is joyful, and then I feel like wait, jasmine's live.
Speaker 2:He knows me, so you're good. I was like, no, I'm OK, but I think we should do this.
Speaker 3:Well, because we don't agree. But, like I was saying before, hindsight is 20-20, right? So there's some things like we're hearing it and you don't expect to hear that. So you're like interesting, yeah.
Speaker 2:And then he sent me the job button one.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:And I was like that's great.
Speaker 1:He sent it to us. He sent it to us, right, yeah, he sent it to us. Thing is, and people got to understand this right. We're a platform with guests. I don't have to disagree with you. I'm giving you a stage. America, this country we live in, was built on freedom of speech. I know that's gone out the window a little bit in recent years, but at the end of the day, it's what it is. So if you're a guest on our show, I don't have to combat you on shit. I also. I could be nodding my head, yes, and I'm just in agreement to seeing you speak Because I'm letting you, I do that often.
Speaker 3:Yeah, it's like all right cool.
Speaker 1:I'm not like yeah, man, I fucking like to bite needles, like I don't know. Whatever the person comes up with, that's on them and they have the rights of their opinion, right, and if we decide to debate it, we will. But at the end of the day, just because I didn't disagree does not mean I agree. Now, if you see me out of my mouth saying like, yeah, 100%, there are things that I agree with right, I said it and I live by it. And if you don't like it, keep watching. This is more stuff to not like and it's the viewership that I need of you.
Speaker 2:Exactly. I mean the reason. Like when I spoke to him here about doing a podcast, I was like I'm going to keep it real, like I said to myself when I agreed to do this. You know I'm not holding anything back. You know I have no filter, as it is in general. You know, anybody who knows me knows that. So I'm gonna be 100% myself and my. If I don't say it, you're going to see it in my face.
Speaker 3:Yeah, I feel like I've been really good at composure.
Speaker 2:I gotta work on that.
Speaker 1:I've been really good at composure.
Speaker 3:That's one of one of my weak points.
Speaker 1:Well, I told Jasmine that last week, I'm like I know, when we were walking around. Like you know, I know those moments. I can just feel Jackie's energy yeah. And I know she didn't say something because she's like let me listen, I'm being a host and there are moments, like you said, when you're there and you're in the moment it's kind of like yo, we are also watching, right, we're not just constantly in this like, oh, let me have a life, let me have a life.
Speaker 3:We're hearing this for the first time too. Yeah, correct, there's no script Right, we're doing this, we're hearing this for the first time. I need a little bit of time to process, right? So I'm listening to this, right, and then, like a couple minutes later, or even seconds, I'm like, hmm, weird, but I'm trying to be like hmm, yeah.
Speaker 1:I was like, nah, I'm going to keep it a buck, man. I personally I love to hear people speak on whatever their choose. Maybe I like to see different perspectives. I don't have to agree. I pretty much already have my mindset on a lot of things, Right? So I'm always going to enjoy the fan aspect of what we do, because once you stop being a fan of it, this shit gets boring. Oh right, we're going to be here like robots or catering to like, oh. But I know, I know Mercutio is watching this and he really feels different about this. Let me make sure.
Speaker 2:I say something I'm not.
Speaker 1:Mercutio. He must be Dominican.
Speaker 2:I go Shakespeare, you go Dominican, no honestly, I wanted that name for my kid because it sounds Mad Dominican, come on.
Speaker 1:You know Dominican would do that shit like oh so there's a libido, there's Shapiti.
Speaker 3:Oh my.
Speaker 2:God.
Speaker 3:I'm like, no, listen, that's not your kid thing.
Speaker 1:No crazy, that's not your kid thing. I don't have a boy.
Speaker 2:If I did, I mean, since you're late, I won't be like you still have time.
Speaker 3:You like you like it, you made it up so what's up with the Riz line? Oh, lord, oh, but I didn't even see the video. Okay.
Speaker 2:Yesterday I had to drive my mom to the casino. You know she watches my kids during the week, so my mom too.
Speaker 3:On the weekends.
Speaker 2:She's like Joe, I park casino. So I was dropping off with the kids and and then I hear Katie and Romeo are talking in the back and he's just like, yeah, he was telling Katie, I risked her up and I'm like, oh, he was like some girl. I asked, though I was like I don't know.
Speaker 1:I hear Riz, they're up. I'd be like you, show him a call for somebody.
Speaker 2:No, because you know that's the term now. So I was.
Speaker 1:I've been hearing what does Riz mean?
Speaker 2:I don't need right. Riz is like game.
Speaker 1:You know yeah.
Speaker 2:You know like a little line. Yeah, what was the word back in back in our day?
Speaker 1:Just kick game. Yeah, it wasn't like a game.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:I was like yeah, spit this at her.
Speaker 2:So he's like, oh, I asked her out, I asked her out and I was in the kid. He's like what she said? She said maybe. And I was like why she told you maybe? And then he's just like, oh, she had to think about it. I was like, okay. So then he's like, ma, I want to get her something for Valentine's Day. And I'm like all right, we could go to CVS and get some chocolates and a teddy bear. And he's like, no, I want to kind of buy her a perfume. And I was like you got perfume money.
Speaker 1:CVS got perfume and he's like.
Speaker 3:I'm not buying her. Hello, body splashed Right.
Speaker 2:He's like I'm not buying, no, because he got. He wanted the Versace perfume for Cologne for Christmas.
Speaker 1:Oh, yes, yes, yes, I forgot.
Speaker 2:So then I'm like I'm not buying this for some girl who's telling you, maybe, first of all, not even one of the best, get Exactly. Yeah, I was like. I was like, listen back, in my day we used to have chocolate, teddy bears and balloons. Balloons were a big thing back then. We just, you know, so that he's like I'm not doing that. I was like, well then you tell your father to give you money to buy her perfume.
Speaker 1:So he's probably trying to keep it on the low man.
Speaker 2:So then he came when we got home that's when I send you guys the video he was like oh, look at the text message, I'm gonna send it to you, I'm gonna show you. So I'm looking at it and he's like what did he say? He was just like oh you, oh, she's like Romeo, are you gonna ask me out? And he was like yeah, she's like, I'll think about it, wait so she, I thought he said that then he said and the text message is what he said I'll think, I'll think about it.
Speaker 1:So his wrist didn't hit no, no, no.
Speaker 3:Yeah, apparently she wanted him to ask how he acts out, and then she said maybe mm-hmm. Oh, I think about it, she's playing games sounds like a Gemini.
Speaker 2:Who knows? Olivia, you said a name. I mean I don't think Olivia's gonna watch that let's leave that out. Make sure it says like yeah, you know you know the name is very common, so it could be anybody.
Speaker 1:Actually, the girl across the street from Penelope's name is Olivia.
Speaker 2:Okay, it was. So you see Olivia's in general, stop fighting on my son. I was on Reddit. You know it's Reddit. Courtney got me hooked on red and now I do so. Then I see something wife teachers, sixth grade court this being passed around in her class. So it's a note that your kids were writing the risen. Some look, it says wristbook right. So I'm gonna read like three of them that I was just dying, yeah. Sharon Riz six rays so they like 11, right, right, we were like 11.
